player cap: 35/50

✿ Fable's application system is constantly open! This means that there is no set period for applications to come in. Applications can be submitted at any time and are reviewed by mods on Saturday & Sunday.

✿ You do not need a reserve to apply, but you must have an invite. Players in the game can invite 2 people a month! We ask that the person who invites someone into the game replies to their application comment in order to confirm said invite.

Abilities: He's a basic human with basic human abilities. Neon speaks English, Korean, and rudimentary Japanese due to his upbringing. He's also a skilled techie, having grown up as a child with unlimited computer access..
History: Neon is the son of multimedia mogul Woo-Shik Song and his much younger wife Madison Song, who is essentially a lower-tier socialite. His father is known primarily for being the president of Luna Galaxy Park and Luna Galaxy Universe, two world-renowned theme parks. During Neon's childhood, he watched as his father expanded the parks internationally into Moon Universe, Starland, and so on, raising his son in Seoul, South Korea, and having temporary stays in the States and Japan. As times change, so do theme park audiences. And President Song, believing his teenage son has his finger on the pulse of what Young People like, has taken to consulting him which has led to ... interesting decisions, including a questionable teen night club. Theme park aficionados have begun to credit/blame Neon for introducing one of the most terrifying dark rides to what had been a family-friendly theme park.

Neon typically attended an international school for privileged children. His education was good, but his time on the internet combined with his mom's charitable projects has led him to channel his energies into privately (secretly) providing services for charitable organizations for free or at a discounted fee. When he isn't trolling alpha males on the internet, anyway…

While he's been able to coast through life, his perspective changed considerably when he met Dal Kwon, a university student he pursued his last year of high school. Hiding their relationship not just from Dal's family but everyone else in their lives took a toll on Neon and he ended things sometime after graduation. After some agonizing time apart, after Neon decided to follow his parents on their travels, he found a confession video from Dal and immediately began repairing their relationship. Through him, he learned how to outwardly take care for other people, instead of hiding his actions.

Personality: Neon grew up as somewhat of a contrarian, determined to go against the grain. While his relationship with his father wasn't close, he at least encouraged his son's bluntness and creative thinking.

He is always a button-pusher and enjoys hobby programming, tinkering at plugins, browser extensions, poking his virtual nose into places where he shouldn't. Though coming from wealth, he has gotten into making the internet more accessible and affordable, temporarily taking down paywalls and introducing a shortlived extension that gave readers access to online articles during the last election. He is 100% that kid who tracks celebrities' private planes and publishes their fuel waste on social media. A part of it might just be rich boy guilt; as cynical as he sometimes is about his mom's charities, a part of him believes that she wants to do good in the world while making herself look good. It's at least encouraged him to channel his resources and energies into something positive sometimes.

Only amongst his close friends, he often has high energy and is sometimes exhausting to be around, especially with his crass humor and hot temper, and despite trying to come off as not caring about anything, Neon cares a lot about people but especially his loved ones. He's grown to be a doting boyfriend, perhaps to the point of obsession, but that's just him making up for lost time.

Arrival item: Neon will bring his acoustic guitar. He knows how to play but has mostly abandoned it since he focused more on programming work.

Game plans: Neon doesn't have a very close relationship with his parents - he isn't bitter over it, being very independent, but it would be nice to have a new found family in-game. He would also like to enjoy his time with his boyfriend as they restart their relationship.

Personality: Because Dorothea began her life as a street urchin after the untimely death of her mother and the abandonment of her noble father, many quirks of her personality--her distaste for fish, her hatred of arrogant aristocrats, her compulsive need to maintain her spaces in impeccable cleanliness, her extreme zeal for proactive self-defense measures--are a result of her struggles to survive during this time.

At a glance, Dorothea is all charm. She’s elegant and worldly, navigating social situations with practiced ease after living in the spotlight of the opera stage. Her social net is cast with the goal of settling down with someone affluent enough to support her into her old age. As an orphan with no crest or inherited wealth, she’s painfully aware her value has been determined by her natural talent and beauty, and she wants to capitalize on these before they fade.

Her pursuit of that goal is something that defines her early on in the eyes of her peers; though she does her best to maintain an air of nonchalance, Dorothea can’t help but be hurt by nasty whispers that into her own deeply-rooted self loathing, but even so, she still denies the accusation that she is a gold digger. She is fiercely pragmatic, motivated by her drive to avoid being cast back out onto the streets. Even this simple desire changes with time, however. An older and wiser Dorothea admits that the thing she’s really looking for is someone who will love her for who she is, rather than desiring her for her fame or looks.

In spite of everything she's endured, Dorothea is very tender-hearted. Beyond going out of her way to comfort and support her friends, she spends the early years of the war taking in and sheltering orphans. She's always willing to help those in need. Maybe that's the reason she was brought to Fable.

CRAU: In a previous game, Lennon had established himself working as an exotic dancer which is more or less a more hands on version of what he did at home. He’s started to soften a little after meeting an interesting fae who’s taken a shine to him and decided to claim him. The main differences for Lennon is that he’s started to allow people into his orbit again when for years he’s kept them at a distance or just through a screen. He also has acquired sable ears and tail that he’s still not happy about.

Abilities: Nothing special. He’s an artist and dancer.

Lennon was kicked out of his home when he was a young teenager after his parents had caught him kissing a boy in his bedroom. He’d had no one to turn to and ended up living on the streets.

He quickly learned how to make money on the streets and managed to get himself a small place to live and got through high school. As he got older he was able to monetize his skills better by reaching an online audience. He quickly built up a following as a camboy and is paying his own way through college and managing to make enough to live off as well. He spends all of his time working or studying and doesn’t actually have that much of a social life and he doesn’t want to. Outside of work the person he talked was mainly a therapist as he was trying to work through and move past a lot of his issues and troubles stemming from his parents rejection and the life he’s lived as a result.

Some added history is that he was pulled into an alternate world and had become an exotic dancer there. Lennon started to make some friends and create a social network that he’s not had since he was a kid.
Personality: Lennon is a charismatic and friendly person. It’s partially a front to keep himself protected and people at arm’s length so they don’t look past the surface. He’s extremely private and secretive about his true self and doesn’t trust or open up to people easily. He’s a passionate and determined individual. He loves art and it’s the only way he expresses himself with full honesty which is why most of his art he keeps private at the moment. He’s also a very compassionate person who wants to help and take care of people even if he doesn’t want to let people close to his real self.

Outwardly, Lennon appears to be confident but inwardly he’s quite the opposite. He’s highly critical of himself and sees failings everywhere. He believes he’s worthless and well that’s one of the things he was working on with a therapist. While Lennon is a caring person he can also be incredibly selfish. He’s always afraid of losing things and people and he will sometimes make selfish moves to try and make sure he can’t be abandoned.

Personality: Daeshim is an odd duck for his kind...or for any kind. He has a fondness for humans, but he's definitely not one. He can be hard to understand, and sometimes struggles to understand others. Sometimes he just doesn't want to.

Daeshim hates violence, and even the sight of blood makes him panic. He's also honest, willing to compromise ("make deals") and will never break his word. His kind actually can't lie, though they are very good at playing around with words so that things always work out in their favor. He might do this too.

He can sometimes be stubborn and immature. His mood can change quickly, and he often avoids conflict or any discussion that he doesn't want to have by literally running away from it. Daeshim is also stingy and suspicious when it comes to his "treasures", but that's nothing when compared to how he is over people that he's fond of. He thinks of these people as "his", and sometimes has a jealous streak. Daeshim can also be incredibly affectionate towards these same people. Seeing as how he really had no emotional guidance, it's to his credit that he's as well-behaved as he is.

Personality: When not assuming the identities of others, Vaer appears to have a somewhat subdued personality. As a consequence of their upbringing and training as someone who was meant to simply assume other's identities, they have a warped sense of self, and readily changes their personality to fit any given situation even if they're not physically altering their appearance.

With their newfound freedom, however, Vaer becomes an incredibly curious person as they navigate a journey of self-discovery. This often presents itself in the form of being inquisitive, at times to the point of being blunt and prying, especially when learning about the minutiae and everyday lives of everyday people, and at others being flattering and flirtatious. Just, you know, to feel something

Because of their history, Vaer is also quite accustomed to a life in the upper echelons of society, and likes to adorn themselves in fine fashions and jewelry, and may be a bit vain at times. Luckily, they can change at will. This often plays at odds with their newfound curiosity around the world, and they may often come across as incredibly arrogant as a result. What do you mean there isn't anyone to taste their food to check for poision?

Arrival item: Hendrick's Lute, a wondrous, magical lute that also allows them to cast spells such as: Fly, Levitate, Invisibility, etc.

Game plans: Though Vaer knows that their kind have origins rooted in the Feywild (the D&D realm of fairies), they've never had the chance to explore those roots or to even visit the Feywild where they're from, so they would be interested in learning Fable's stories and wonders, even if it might not be the same as exploring the Feywild.

...Also, they can really use some time away from political intrigue, world-ending plots, chaotic adventurers, and their past. And an opportunity to just learn what it's like to be their own person, living their own life, not having to pretend to be other people, away from the College, away from Atrean society, away from everything.

Any final thoughts? Changelings are loosely based on the shapeshifting auf/oaf of fairy folklore... Vaer has never set foot once in the Feywild or anything but magically or biologically speaking... they're fey. Wow! Anyway—

Personality: When you’re a princess, everyone has certain expectations. You must be gracious, poised, elegant and serene; confident but not cocky, decisive but not demanding, patient, strong. Allura isn’t sure if she lives up to those expectations, and now that Altea is gone, she isn’t sure if it’s even necessary, or if it has become more necessary than ever.

Allura is both passionate and compassionate. She rises to the challenges of leadership with natural aplomb, though not always without a struggle: she'll hide her feelings when she thinks they might negatively impact the team, and the spotlight of diplomacy can leave her feeling uneasy and overwhelmed. When facing difficult decisions, however, she never wavers for very long; her drive to protect others and defeat the Galra makes prioritizing her choices fairly simple.

She is brave to the point of recklessness, throwing herself into the fray with a stubbornness that has put her in danger on more than one occasion. For the sake of the mission, to alleviate suffering, to save her friends, she would go to any length with no regard to personal safety. Her determination to succeed is driven by the terrible losses she’s suffered, and her rage against the Galran Empire for taking her home and family from her. It sometimes causes her to lash out or act irrationally, though she’s usually able to self-correct after some honest reflection. She does try to be reasonable, since most of the Paladins are so very young and don’t always behave logically.

Anger isn’t Allura’s only driving motivation; she’s grown to love her friends more than anything, and wants to end the war for all their sakes as well as her own. Throughout their adventures, Allura has always been there to encourage the Paladins to work together as a team. She’s been a shoulder for them to lean on and a symbol to rally behind, providing both support and guidance along the way. When Shiro disappeared, she even stepped in to become a Paladin, just as her father had once been.

Canon point: Chapter 10, post the Rin debacle at the Fire Altar

Abilities:
Essence | Eiden has a large concentration of substance in his body called "Essence" which is full of powerful energy that is both healing and... horny. He's learning to control it and is able to share it with his Clan members via bodily fluids and the intimacy that comes with all of that. Not sure how that plays here in Fable, but hey, good to note. 

Artistic | As a designer at a sex toy company, Eiden is incredibly creative, especially when it comes to getting down and dirty. However, he is also shown to just be a good artist in general and actually pretty handy with crafts in general. While he was using a magic sewing machine, he was still able to conceptualize and put together a pretty sweet looking outfit.

Charisma | Look, it's not magic or anything, but Eiden is pretty charismatic and along with that, stubborn. He loves to make friends (totally normal reasons, not because he wants to fill the deep, empty orphan void inside of him). Even with stubborn types like Kuya and Edmond, Eiden has wormed his way into their hearts with sheer determination to prove his friendship and all that jazz. 

History: Here

Personality: Having grown up in an orphanage, Eiden never really experienced what it was like to be raised by a set of parents in a family. Because of this and the responsibility he took on in high school of juggling a number of part-time jobs, Eiden is a pretty independent guy who moves to the beat of his own drum.

He's cultivated a number of very important traits for living life to the fullest while also being able to live on his own. He is logical, always able to step back and take a look at the bigger picture. The first thing he wants to do when he's been tossed into a brand new world, is read up on what the hell is going on (even if he doesn't fucking understand the language and can only rely on pictures and questions aimed at Aster or Morvay—later, he just ends up reading a bunch of erotica in the library to "study." Whatever works.) He really does try to take a straight-forward approach when possible, but that doesn't stop him from using creative pathfinding to solve a problem as well. Eiden finds that his creative thinking makes for striking warm bonds with his fellow clan members. 

While he does have his freak out initially upon arriving in Klein, Eiden embraces the weirdness very quickly and dives into it without any qualms. While the nature of Essence is of course very... strange, he's not bowing out of it, in fact, he's embracing it with a devil-may-care attitude. He's also not above trying out all sorts of different things when it comes to gathering... Essence. At the end of the day, Eiden embraces every situation he's thrown into with, not so much grace, but with determination and excitement, always wanting to do his best.

Eiden isn't afraid of hard work. Not just from his work as a sex toy designer, but even before then. After leaving the orphanage, Eiden did his best to pick up any and all odd-jobs, most of them being service-related, learning to take care of himself in a world where he was left alone. While he loves his work, he certainly does drive himself into the ground working overtime, letting it take over his personal life because what family does he have to go home to?. Even upon his arrival on the Klein Continent, Eiden realizes that he's not going to get anywhere unless he puts in the work to learn about his new world as thoroughly as possible. But this is now work he doesn't have to do alone, and after he sees time and time again that his clan members do everything in their power to protect him and preserve his happiness, maybe he doesn't mind sticking around. 

At the end of the day, Eiden is still very young and still treating every day like a new adventure. Most of his attempts at relationships have ended in failure usually to the fact that he doesn't want to settle, but with all of the adventures he's gone on with his clan members, that feeling has changed... and is very confusing for him to confront.

Game plans: Oh god, this is tough. Probably going to miss his clan members because damn if they weren't in the middle of something really important, rather, if they didn't just finish something really important. It would be his first time being able to handle magic of any kind since he doesn't know how to technically use his Essence beyond healing and purifying. He'd love to get a grasp on that, probably make some art, treat this as a creative retreat while also being sad about missing... everyone back "home" in Klein.

Don't worry, exploring this new place will definitely keep him busy, and he'll have some fun learning about faeries okay! He'll cheer himself up by telling himself he'll just have a lot of stories to tell everyone back home.

  • The ability to Study Foe and discern their weaknesses so that they might be exploited.
  • The full host of Scholar skills, which includes elemental magic (fire, ice, lightning) and to further analyze enemies.
  • The skills granted to him by having Cleric as his subclass, allowing him to use light-elemental magic as well as to heal and shield his allies.
  • He’s got that big nerd brain and considers himself to be something of a detective, and is often quite successful in his efforts. Though oblivious when it comes to interpersonal relationships, he is very shrewd in his powers of observation and analysis, especially when he’s been presented with a problem to be solved.

Personality: Cyrus Albright is a man who has never once approached things by halves. He is a scholar who is passionate about knowledge and feels the opportunity to learn something new is truly a gift that each and every person should be granted. Though he begins the game as a professor at the Royal Academy in Atlasdam, he finds the environment stifling due to the attitude among his colleagues that knowledge is to be hoarded like treasure. Cyrus, on the other hand, believes the exact opposite: knowledge and its pursuit are a joy, and should be free to anyone. Knowledge should be shared, and education should be a right, not a privilege, regardless of one’s station or opportunities. Because of this stance, Cyrus is a popular teacher at the academy– though his looks certainly don’t hurt, he is known for taking the time to invest in his students and encourage them to do their utmost, because there is no greater joy than seeing one’s pupils blossom and succeed.

Unfortunately, Cyrus is oblivious to his own popularity– and many other things. While he is a brilliant man, his experiences prior to the events of Octopath Traveler were limited to what he had read in books or seen while studying in the field. He is, without even trying, rather dramatic and over-the-top; he is found to be both charming and frustrating by those who harbor affection for him. He suffers from a lack of self-awareness in this regard, and despite being a gentleman with nice manners, suddenly forgets all about boundaries and personal space when he’s trying to gather information. Above all, he is endlessly determined— this man went to the ends of the earth to return a library book, and his focus is unparalleled.

Game plans: Cottagecore shenanigans! Cyrus is going to be over the moon to find himself someplace new with so many opportunities to learn. As a scholar, he is ever a student at heart in addition to being a teacher, and he will throw himself into scouring every available corner of his place because he’ll simply be so fascinated. He’s probably gonna fill his cottage with books and try to study the magical properties of all this fruit. Also going to go right at Prism with his magnifying glass. I’m sorry.

Abilities: Yuya has the ability to "hear" the spirits that reside is duel monster cards. It's nebulous whether this is a general spiritual sensitivity or exclusive to spirits in playing cards since those are the only ones that appear in canon.

History: HERE

Personality: At his best, Yuya's compassionate and empathetic. He'd rather make friends and be kind and hold the peace, and so he's very good at tuning in to other people's emotions. Making people smile makes him happy--it's a driving force behind his passion for entertaining. He's also nurturing, always quick to support other people and lend them a shoulder. He's hardworking, willing to put persistent effort into honing his skills or making something happen. It comes from bravery, as he's not afraid of tribulation or suffering for goals that are meaningful for him, or just for the sake of his friends. When he's in a good mood his cheer and enthusiasm is obvious, even infectious.

He wears his heart on his sleeve, but when his emotions often run high this often makes him moody and temperamental. He has poor self-esteem, and it can result in him giving up on himself regardless how much progress he's made. And he can be needy, as he's ultimately selfish and has a natural inclination to put his wants first. He has to keep himself from putting that burden on others, and sometimes overcompensates to be extremely passive. Those traits all make him very susceptible to manipulation, and overly trusting, out of his desire for praise and positive attention. He's very thoughtful, observing and solving the world around him, but not actually smart and can be slow to come to actual conclusions or fail to come to the right one. The exception is his emotional intelligence, when he gets out of his own head.

Personality:While he can appear haggard and exhausted, Elm is, at his core, a warm person. He is always willing to extend a hand in need, even when he's got too much on his plate, and will be the first to offer assurances to the best of his abilities. When not on the job, he prefers a pacifist approach, and will attempt to help settle conflict peacefully, all while attempting to lighten the mood with soft words. A workaholic, he rarely takes time to himself, and can be seen buried deep in his notes, or tending to his weapons or other forms of chores in order to keep himself busy regardless of his own tired state. For all he speaks of other people taking care of themselves and putting themselves first, being an empathetic and rather selfless, individual, he's incapable of taking his own advice, getting little rest or occasionally forgetting to eat.

Elm suffers from survivor's guilt, and his self esteem is pitifully low- he does not see himself as somebody worth sacrificing yourself for, and would sooner beat you to the punch by doing it for you instead. His patience is due to this as well, willing to let people push his buttons with little more than an exasperated sigh or a pinched brow. He does have a limit, of course, and is not above giving teacherly scoldings to those who deserve it...it just takes a bit to get there. He does not fancy himself a leader, but for the sake of others, will take the reigns if need be- lending to his ability to flip into 'work mode', growing more focused and cold from years as working as a hunter. While his image of himself is laughable, Elmaris tends to think of what's best for everyone, and doesn't let himself drown in self-pity or doubt when there is work to be done.


Arrival item: A small wooden locked box, about the size of a book, that can only be unlocked by dripping blood in the lock. It contains a broken arrow, a bloody hair ribbon, and a stained, faded journal.
